Today, a huge Burmese Python was caught in the Everglades National Park, in the state of Florida.

It is 5 metres long and weighs 74 kilograms, making it the biggest python ever caught in Florida. The average size for this species is 3.7 metres.

The researchers were shocked when they found out that the snake was actually pregnant, with a record 87 eggs.

These snakes are some of the deadliest in the world, and have been blamed for the decline of mammals in Florida. They eat animals as big as deer and alligators.

After further research, scientists plan to put it on show in an exhibition in the University of Florida.
